“We really want to have an inclusive event for everyone in our growing community” says CANDY Entertainment Simcoe County President

A new nonprofit called Children and Youth (CANDY) Entertainment Simcoe County’s mission is to provide residents with family-friendly fun and opportunities.

They invited the community to their first event at Sun – Cake with Bunny. March 12, 2023, 10am-4pm at Innisfil Lions Hall

“As parents, we see a dearth of activities for kids and teens, and we all come from the children’s entertainment industry, and we really want to create inclusive events for everyone in our growing community,” said CANDY Entertainment President Simcoe County, Reena Tagger-Saint Louis.

In addition to events like Cake with the Bunny, which includes storytelling, an egg hunt, face painting, balloon twisting and goody bags, CANDY Entertainment also plans teen dance parties, movies and bingo events, and camps. after school.

They will form a youth committee that will invite the youth of Simcoe County to give their input.

“We really want to engage young people, as much as their community and all of our communities,” said Justyna Truskolaski, vice president of Simcoe County, CANDY Entertainment. “We’d love to hear from them and get input on what they would like to see.

We want young people to be involved in this process, giving them the opportunity to help build the future of Innisfil and the surrounding community. With this, we hope to keep the kids out of trouble, keep them busy, and make them proud of the town we live in. “

CANDY Entertainment will provide participating high school students with community service hours, which will count toward the Ontario community service requirement for graduation.

In addition to Tagger-Saint Louis (founder of Dream Parties) and Truskolaski (founder of Innisfil Backyard Bounce), other founding members of CANDY Entertainment include Andrea Diaz (Membership President), Theresa Downtown (Secretary), Nina La Costa ( Marketing Chair) and Shire. Jennifer Richardson (Service Chair).

CANDY Entertainment is interested in forming partnerships and applying for grants, looking forward to delivering high quality events at an affordable price. They plan to offer events on a scale so that no one is left out due to financial hardship.

“We have many other interesting ongoing events that we will be posting about in the coming weeks,” Tagger-Saint Louis said.

The number of places for the Tutu Cake event is limited, readers are welcome to sign up Event site (Per child fee includes invitation to up to two adults per registrant).
