WATERTOWN — Nonprofit organizations serving residents of Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence counties are encouraged to apply for the 2023 Watertown Sunrise Rotary Foundation Taste of the Town grant as the one-day community event returns to Jefferson Community College on Saturday, April 22.
The Watertown Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation is the charitable endowment of the Upstate New York Community Foundation.

This is the sixth year that North Country nonprofits have received competitive grants. This is also the fifth year that Watertown Sunrise Rotary has exclusively produced Taste of the City, returning for its 20th year with a live event scheduled for April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the McEwan Student Center Gymnasium at Jefferson Community College held. Admission to the event is $3 per person, $2 for military and children, and free for children under 10. Tasting tickets are $1 per person, $12 for 10 people, and $20 for 25 people.
The deadline to submit proposals for consideration is Friday, March 31st. Applicants should focus on projects or initiatives that address current or emerging community needs.All grant applications must be submitted online through the Upstate New York Community Foundation’s grant portal at nnycf.org/grants.

Resolution Centers in Jefferson and Lewis counties received a 2022 Taste of the City grant to support their youth court program.
Organizations receiving grants will be announced at the conclusion of this year’s Taste of the Town event. During the one-day, single-location event, local food lovers are invited to sample samples from participating restaurants and vote for their favorites.
Restaurants and food vendors stand a chance to win one of the coveted “Best Taste in Town” awards and will be welcomed by hundreds of attendees eager to sample. Each restaurant or vendor is asked to provide a small sample of one or more dishes or drinks of their choice. Restaurants should plan to accommodate up to 1,000 people.
