Britain’s Prince Harry’s lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mirror over phone-hacking charges will go to trial in May, a High Court judge in London ruled on Wednesday.

Harry, Duke of Sussex, is one of several public figures whose lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) will be considered in a trial that begins in May.

Judge Timothy Fancourt ruled Wednesday that Harry’s case should be part of a trial alleging illegal gathering of information on behalf of MGN reporters between 1996 and 2011.
David Sherborne, a lawyer representing Harry and the other plaintiffs, told the court earlier that Harry would be the “sole witness” to rely on in his case – raising the possibility that the prince will be in the witness box to testify.
