Bay City Fireworks Festival announces entertainment

[ad_1]

Bay City – The 61st Annual Bay City Fireworks Festival will be held June 29-July 1 at Veterans Park and Wenona Park, with 1990s band FireHouse hosting a show near the river on June 30 concert.

“We encourage you to put on your concert shirt, roll up your hair, and come out and have fun,” festival committee chair El Bovia said.

Festivities have also started ticket sales.

The Bay City Festival is one of the largest fireworks displays in the Midwest. Family fun will be available at Veterans Park and the riverfront at Wenona Park. Admission is $2 to Veterans Park and $5 to Wenona Park.

“We look forward to celebrating with the thousands of people who come to our town and enjoy these events,” Darrell Lentz of McLaren’s Bay Region, sponsor of the festival, said in a news release Wednesday. “We are sure this will be a spectacular tribute to our freedom and independence.”

Host a FireHouse Band Festival

The FireHouse Band will kick off the entertainment on Friday night, June 30th with “Fire the 80’s”. General admission to Musical Entertainment at Wenonah Park is $10.

FireHouse has produced gold, platinum and multi-platinum records in the United States and abroad. In 1990, the debut album was released and achieved double platinum status. Hit songs include “Don’t Treat Me Badly” and “Reach to the Sky”. Infamous Quick, a female-led cover band and original rock band from Michigan will follow. The band “leans toward 80s-90s rock covers and 2000s-style originals.”

The Hairball John Radio Show, a nationally syndicated radio show, will appear at the “tailgate” event prior to the concert. Located in Bay City, it pays homage to ’80s hard rock and heavy metal.

“80s music is coming back,” says the radio DJ and host. “We really wanted to do it as a throwback.”
