Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) earlier this week to meet with some of the school’s faculty, officials and students.

NYUAD has strong ties to the Clinton family. Chelsea Clinton was an inspirational help in recruiting NYU’s initial class when it launched in 2010. Eight years ago, former President Bill Clinton honored NYU as keynote speaker at its inaugural commencement ceremony in 2014.
Many of the University’s students also participate in the Clinton Global Initiative University, a program closely aligned with NYU’s mission of engaging and inspiring the next generation of global leaders. NYUAD ’20 and CGIU alumna Sara Pan Algarra is also a 2021 Hillary Rodham Clinton Global Challenge Scholar.
