Eid al Adha is next week Both the public and private sectors announced a four-day holidayAlthough it is natural to be excited and start planning your day, please keep in mind some of the rules and recommendations recommended by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA).
The authorities announced on Twitter last night on July 14 some rules and regulations that must be followed during the holiday. NCEMA also pointed out that after the last three (public) holidays in the UAE, “the number of infections and deaths increased significantly”.
A tweet stated that “after Eid al-Fitr last year, the average daily rate of Covid-19 infection reached more than 1,400, which is equivalent to an increase of more than 500%”. The message added that the statistics are provided to confirm that there is a joint responsibility for compliance with preventive measures.
The following are the guidelines and rules announced by NCEMA.
The gathering should be limited to the same family living with the same family and first-degree relatives. You must maintain physical distance, especially when you are sitting with the elderly or people with chronic diseases, you must wear a mask. NCEMA recommends PCR testing to make sure everyone is healthy.

Regarding mosques and Eid al-Fitr prayers, NCEMA announced that “the door of the mosque will be closed immediately after prayers”. The restrooms, Wudu (baptism) places, drinking fountains and other service facilities continue to be closed. The doors of the prayer area and the mosque will open 15 minutes before the prayer starts.
Mosques and prayer areas on outer roads and gas stations will continue to be closed.

Worshippers are required to bring their own prayer mats, and those who live with or have contact with positive individuals are strictly prohibited. The elderly, people with chronic diseases and children under 12 should avoid going to mosques for Eid al-Fitr prayers.
The authorities urge to avoid any kind of gatherings, handshake before and after Eid al-Fitr prayers, and to limit greetings and congratulations within a safe distance.
Avoid exchanging and distributing Al-Adahi (sacrifice), gifts and food among neighbors. NCEMA recommends the implementation of Al-Adahi by entrusting the official charity of the UAE or through related smart applications. An electronic alternative to Ediya (Eid al-Fitr money) is also recommended.
