Sharjah announces paid parking periods for holy month

[ad_1]

Sharjah Municipality has announced paid parking periods during Ramadan in the emirate. Paid parking is available from 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday through Thursday, according to authorities.

Parking is free on Fridays, except in areas marked with blue information signs. In these areas, parking is a paid service all days of the week.

The Municipality also announced the opening hours of Sharjah City Park. The park will be open all day from 4pm to midnight. The emirate has also announced the timing of the medical centres.

Earlier, Sharjah also announced the official Ramadan working hours for employees of government entities in the emirate. Staff are expected to work between 9.00am and 2.30pm.

The Ramadan timetable for Emirate government entities mainly follows the guidelines issued by the Federal Authority for Human Resources (FAHR).

FAHR has issued a circular setting the official working hours of ministries and federal authorities as 9am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 12pm on Friday. For the private sector, the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) recently announced that shift work hours will be reduced by two hours during the holy month.
