Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today received Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, who is on an official visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and President Iohannis discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. They also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation across all sectors.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Sheikh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Dubai, as well as other sheikhs and senior officials from both sides.
Klaus Iohannis was received yesterday by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. President Iohannes accompanied Romania’s First Lady Carmen Iohannes on the visit.
Johannes was welcomed by Sheikh Mohammed at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The official reception included a guard of honor, the playing of the Romanian national anthem and the firing of a 21-gun salute.
Yesterday, the leaders of the two countries witnessed the signing of many agreements in the fields of energy and investment.
