Officials said the special team had opened an investigation into the incident as it involved illegal activities by certain individuals who held Indian citizenship abroad.

The Indian community held a large rally in front of the Indian High Commission in London on March 19 to oppose the “disrespect” of the Indian flag by Khalistan supporters and demanded that London Mayor Sadiq Khan and the British government take action against the perpetrators at the earliest .
