Sources say Ahmed Masood has not left Afghanistan-News

[ad_1]

According to a source on Saturday, the leader of the Afghan Resistance Army, Ahmed Masood, has not left Afghanistan.

According to sources, the rumors that Masood left Central Asian countries for Turkey or any other place are false. The resistance leader is said to be in a safe place and keep in touch with the Panjshir Valley.

The source also said that 70% of Panjshir’s main streets have been controlled by the Taliban.

The Taliban claimed that they had occupied Panjshir Province, Afghanistan’s last stronghold of resistance. At the same time, the Afghan National Resistance Front (NRF) denied this claim.

“In recent days, the Taliban entered Panjshir, and now 70% of the main streets and passages are under their control, but Panjshir’s valley is still under the full control of popular power,” Qassim Mohamad told FNA .

NRF stated that resistance forces appeared in all strategic locations throughout the valley to continue fighting.

After the fall of Kabul on August 15, Panjshir Province remained the only place where resistance was stubbornly resisted by the resistance force led by Ahmed Masood, the son of the late former Afghan guerrilla commander Ahmed Shah Masood Fight against the Taliban.

Ahmed Masood called for a “national uprising” against the Taliban on Monday.

In the audio message sent to the media, the commander of the National Resistance Front Ahmed Masood said: “Wherever you are, whether inside or outside, I call on you to serve the dignity, freedom and prosperity of our country. The national uprising begins.”

In the past four days, the two warring parties have experienced fierce geographical conflicts, and both sides claimed to have caused heavy casualties.

Panjshir has always been the base camp of the National Resistance Front led by Ahmed Masood and former Vice President Amrullah Saleh who calls himself the caretaker president.

On Sunday, Masood said that if the Taliban abandon the province, he is ready to stop fighting and start negotiations.

Panjshir is the last province in Afghanistan to oppose the armed group that came to power last month. The Taliban have been facing stubborn resistance after they penetrated into the country’s stubborn forces in the Panjshir Valley.
