ABU DHABI, 29th March, 2023 (WAM) — The Abu Dhabi Arabic Center, ALC, part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi DCT, has launched the ‘Medad’ library services platform, To provide the best possible experience for library users and to ensure that it meets the requirements of future libraries.
The program is part of ALC’s National Reading Month 2023 campaign to support the comprehensive digital transformation of the UAE’s cultural and knowledge sector, aligning programs with the latest and most advanced technologies used by the library and information sector globally.
The “Medad” library services platform and its library services web portal enable stakeholders to benefit from a range of digital services, including building library memberships, book lending, automated indexing, electronic search, access to digital databases, and Museum expert exchanges, etc. others.
Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the ALC, said: “Digitalization touches every aspect of life today, including the cultural, educational and creative spheres.
