Fever plans Abu Dhabi debut to expand UAE

[ad_1]

Fever, the world’s leading live entertainment discovery platform, announces its expansion in the UAE, making its debut with Fireman Sam Live at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation’s theater on March 10! Save the circus 2023.

Written by two ex-firefighters, this stage adaptation of the popular British children’s TV series has been critically acclaimed after its success in the UK. The hour-long show will run five times until March 12 before resuming its 60-city world tour. Fever will then go on to announce additional expansion plans in the UAE capital.

Since entering the Dubai market last year, Fever has noticed a huge and growing interest in leisure and entertainment in the UAE. The company’s Candlelight Concert Series has contributed significantly to this success, growing in popularity in the UAE since 2019 and attracting more than five million guests worldwide.

Fever’s imminent move to Abu Dhabi aims to build on its momentum in Dubai and allow it to emulate its success in the US, which now accounts for 50 percent of its global business.

Fever, which has been successfully launched in the United States and Europe, will soon be launched in Abu Dhabi. This will support the capital and country’s diversification efforts as they aim to become a leading global media and entertainment hub; in 2021, it was announced that up to $6 billion will be injected into Abu Dhabi’s entertainment industry by 2026 to help achieve this vision.

Fever already works with numerous local content creators, IP holders, venues and sponsors and continues to identify Abu Dhabi as a key market.

Rachid Laurent Elameri, General Manager of Fever Middle East, commented: “The UAE is a global center for business, technology and entertainment in the Middle East, especially Abu Dhabi, a popular and diverse emirate known for its thriving arts and culture Famous. Cultural sector.”

“With the UAE emerging as one of the key countries in the Middle East, our further growth in the country will help us bring Fever and its mission to democratize culture and entertainment to the region as we continue to expand across the GCC .

“Dubai warmly welcomes Fever events to the city, from our candlelight concerts to art exhibitions and pop-up store experiences, we see a lot of people in attendance. Starting with Fireman Sam, we hope and are confident that there will be more Fever events in Abu Dhabi. To see a similar reception, especially knowing how much it has to offer in the arts, culture and entertainment space,” he added.

After raising $227 million in a funding round led by Goldman Sachs and reaching unicorn status at a billion-dollar valuation, Fever has been cementing its place as the go-to app for the general public to discover the best entertainment around.

The company, which recently announced another $100 million funding round led by Goldman Sachs, is now looking to further develop its proprietary technology as it expands its operations in the UAE and across the Middle East. Tickets for Fireman Sam are on sale now on Fever’s website, and its Candlelight, Murder Mystery and Authentic Flamenco experience has been confirmed to launch in the UAE capital in the near future.

Since 2014, the company has witnessed rapid growth and has an international presence in over 100 cities including Dubai. This latest growth milestone complements Fever’s ambition to meet the growing demand for leisure-related activities in the Middle East, as the region’s media and entertainment industry is expected to grow by 7.4% by 2028. trade arab news agency
