TULSA – The band Ambrosia, known and loved by fans since the 1970s, will join Maxine Nightingale, John Ford Coley, Al Stewart and “Voice of Players” Peter Beckett for a night of magic, all of them Billboard Top 40 1970s & 80s hits “Rock the Dock” live on Saturday, July 22 at Hard Rock Live at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa

Tickets start at $45.50 and go on sale March 31.

The so-called “yacht rock” music scene today would be very different without the contributions of “Rock’n’Wharf” artists. Ambrosia is now more vivid and compelling than ever. The five-time Grammy Award-nominated group scored five Top 40 singles, including “How Much I Feel” and “Biggest Part of Me.” They continue to play frequently on the radio, earning the admiration and respect of the music world, and giving concerts around the world.

Maxine Nightingale is best known for her debut multi-platinum single “Right Back Where We Started From”, which reached number one in 24 countries worldwide. In 1976, she was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist of the Year. Her album “Lead Me On” was subsequently certified multi-platinum in 20 countries.

John Ford Coley is the most respected of the Grammy-nominated duo England Dan and John Ford Coley. John Ford Coley wrote many memorable hits during this era, including “Love Is the Answer,” “Walk Too Far,” “I Really Want to See You Tonight.” ’, “We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye” Again, “Nights Are Forever Without You” and “Sorrow Belongs to You.”

Al Stewart’s storied stardom was built on 1970s hits such as “On the Frontier,” “Road to Moscow,” “Time Passes” and “Year of the Cat.” Billboard magazine called Year of the Cat one of the greatest records of its time. Over the years, Al has performed with The Police Department’s Andy Summers, Robert Fripp, Bob Dylan, John Martyn, Jimmy Page, Yoko Ono, and the Fairport Convention.

Peter Beckett, known as “The Voice of the Players”, is the original lead singer and songwriter of the band Player. Player was named Best New Single Artist of 1978 on Billboard Magazine’s Honor Roll for his international number one hit “Baby Come Back.” A chart-topping follow-up, Beckett and Prior’s hit “This Time I’m in It for Love” was also a huge success.
