Emirati firefighter Rashid Abdulla Aziz Al Shehhi has done it again. Known for his ethereal shots of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai all the way from Ras Al Khaimah, the photographer gave residents another magical sight – a video of the full moon during Ramadan, so close and so clear in quality , so that the sight will fascinate you.
The video, posted to Al Shehhi’s Instagram, begins zooming in on the full moon’s glow: bright and mesmerizing, it fills the screen for a few seconds before he begins to shrink.
As he did so, the moon moved farther and farther until it was barely visible when the street came into view – and then the stunning video resumed.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Aziz has captured the breathtaking scenery of the UAE. While it’s not uncommon to photograph the majestic Burj Khalifa towering over Dubai, Al Shehhi took it a step further in 2020, running more than 100 kilometers to get the perfect shot.
The Emirati photographer climbed Ras Al Khaimah’s Mount Yanas to capture shots of the world’s tallest building gleaming in the background, and when he zoomed out, he realized it was actually Ras Al Khaimah.
A year later, the talented firefighter also captured the last full moon of 2021 in stunning detail over Khor Fakkan’s Cloud Lounge. Another stunning image captured by the photographer that same year captures Saturn in all its glory.
Filmed from Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s tallest mountain, the ethereal video clearly shows Earth’s unique aura.
