DACC records 86% drop in workplace injury frequency

Dubai Aerotropolis Corporation (DACC) has announced an 86% reduction in the frequency of workplace injuries in Dubai South by 2022, with a year-on-year improvement in safety culture.

The DACC OHSE unit also announced that 2,052 near misses were reported in 2022, a positive indication that the entity’s OHSE culture has been strengthened across the board.

The unit is focused on implementing a strong, effective and proactive OHSE governance system, including Covid-19 compliance management, to improve the key outcomes of OHSE performance. Other important milestones in the last year include ISO 45001/14001 SMS certification, delivery of 3,245 services, all paperless, and a successful fire safety campaign with the support of DCD, involving 55 companies from DACC, helping to promote fire safety across the community Safety culture.

Dubai South is the largest single-city master development in Dubai, focusing on the aviation and logistics ecosystem. When fully operational, it will have the world’s largest airport, complemented by intermodal infrastructure linking air, land and sea. — trade arab news agency
