Emirates airline Etihad Airways has announced it will increase the frequency of its flights from Abu Dhabi to Toronto.
From May 30, Etihad Airways will add a weekly flight between Abu Dhabi and Toronto, in addition to the six weekly flights it already operates.
Etihad Airways launched its first flight from Abu Dhabi to Toronto in October 2005. The airline has an interline agreement with WestJet and a codeshare agreement with Air Canada, allowing its passengers to connect to more than 15 destinations in Toronto. Under the 2020 agreement between Etihad Airways and Air Canada, Etihad Frequent Flyer members can earn and spend miles on all flights across the Air Canada network, while members of Air Canada’s Aeroplan loyalty program This can also be done when traveling with Etihad Airways.

The increase in flight frequency follows an agreement between the UAE and Canada to expand air services.
