Simon Cowell has revealed he hopes to expand his family with fiancée Lauren Silverman because he thinks being a father to his 8-year-old son is the “best thing ever” for him.
The music mogul revealed that his family life is great because he doesn’t spend all his time at work like he used to and makes sure weekends are free for Lauren and Eric.
“Being a dad is the best thing that ever happened to me. I loved every second I spent with him,” Cowell said Mirror.
“And then I was thinking about the next steps. He’s going to be a teenager, and the years to come. I had such an amazing experience in those years.
“I was thinking, maybe because of that, I want to do it again,” he added.
“I’m 64 and Eric is 9. When I play with him, it’s like, my God, I have to be fit to play with him. I mean positive, but his energy off the charts.
“Will it happen? I don’t know, but will I love another child? Yes.”
Comparing his life now to his life a decade ago, when he used to party all night and work until dawn, Cowell said: “I’m trying to find the perfect balance.”
“Years ago, I would work all night and it was normal for me,” he said. “It’s kind of like, 5.30pm, six, that’s it. I’m not going to break that rule. Weekends are weekends.”
“During the pandemic, I spent a lot of time with Eric. In hindsight I don’t want to change that now,” the reality show judge shared.
