Leading UAE-based facilities management (FM) company Farnek said its key unit Hitek will start an initial pilot program at a branch of the Bank in Sudan’s capital Khartoum.
Headquartered in Khartoum, BOK is Sudan’s largest and oldest bank, managing $2 billion in assets. UAE-based Dubai Islamic Bank holds a 60% stake in the group.
In cooperation with Hitek’s Khartoum-based partner, TAD FM, the pilot will start from BOK’s branch in Khartoum East. Initially, to complete the pilot project, the bank ordered five CAFMTek licenses and will install eight IOTek sensors to monitor foot traffic, temperature, vibration and voltage.
It said that once the pilot is complete and successful, it will be rolled out across BOK’s 140 branches to help digitize and integrate all of its facility operations.
These state-of-the-art connected, automated and intelligent FM solutions complement leaner and more sustainable operational processes, increasing productivity, lowering costs and reducing energy consumption.
The solution uses innovative technologies to seamlessly integrate people, processes, assets and facility logic to digitize, connect and automate facility management.
A unique feature is Hitek’s WhatsApp AI Chatbot, which connects field project teams no matter where they are via an integrated mobile CAFM, streamlining service requests and automatically dismissing notifications upon completion.
This provides real-time visibility across various services and also enables dynamic monitoring, escalation and reporting through mobility, web portal and automated email reporting.
Regarding the project, Hitek MD Javeria Aijaz said: “This landmark project digitizes BOK’s traditional FM, transforming it into a smart, sustainable and secure digital facility operation, monitoring and controlling their assets and the performance of their FM team. “
“With a centralized dynamic AI dashboard, our cloud-based solution will provide ongoing management and transparency of operations across all 140 BOK sites,” he added.
“Given Sudan’s geographical location, Hitek’s mobile solution will make BOK’s operations more cost-effective and sustainable. Their unique WhatsApp Chatbot will make submitting and automating support requests simple,” said Mohamed Abdelhamied, CEO, TAD explain.
