Emirates is celebrating Easter with a traditional lamb dish in the lounge, a basket of warm hot cross buns on board, sweet surprises for the kids and a new range of family-friendly movies on ice.
From 7 to 10 April, Emirates passengers flying on select routes including Australia, the US, Canada, Europe, the UK, Brazil, the Philippines, South Africa, Mauritius and Ghana will be treated to a rich Easter treat on board.
Passengers in Economy Class will be treated to piping hot hot cross buns with their meal, or a delicious Easter dessert of carrot cake with delicious tres leche sauce, while passengers in First, Business and Premium Economy Class will be treated to a Creamy chocolate cake with ganache and red currants, or strawberry cheesecake decorated with elegant mini Easter eggs.
Passengers can also enjoy traditional Easter simnel fruitcake and marzipan in the A380 lounge. During Orthodox Easter, April 14-17, more treats will be served on routes to Russia and Greece, such as the much-loved Easter cake, Kulich bread. Children in all classes will receive a brightly colored ‘Happy Easter’ cookie shaped like an Easter egg.
Passengers will be able to enjoy classic Easter treats at most locations in Emirates’ world-renowned lounge network, such as Lamb Chops with Roasted Potatoes and Carrots in Orange Sauce, or Roasted Lamb Shank with Dates, Green Olives and Pomegranate in Dubai First Class Lounge. In the US, roast lamb chops with pistachios, red bell peppers, olive oil sauce and spring market vegetables from Singapore, or in the UK classic herb roast lamb with char-grilled leeks, baby potatoes, cherry tomatoes and a tangy mint sauce.
Emirates passengers flying over Easter will have access to Ice’s world-class entertainment library, with over 5,000 on-demand entertainment channels, over 1,900 movies and 1,500 hours of TV, as well as music, podcasts and audiobooks in 40 languages.
Families will enjoy the best movies and TV shows from Cartoon Network, CBeebies and Nickelodeon channels, as well as new kids’ movies coming out in April, including Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, Rise of the Tigers, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Tad the Lost Explorer and Emerald Tablet. There’s also a dedicated Wizarding World folder that includes 16 Harry Potter titles from a Harry Potter movie marathon, as well as popular TV shows like The Amazing World of Gumball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, LEGO Jurassic World : The Isle of Nublar Saga, SpongeBob SquarePants, Star Trek: The Prodigy, Puss in Boots. – trade arab news agency
