The UAE won’t mind how the win came about, but they weren’t all that convincing against a new-look Kenya who won by 15 points in the first game of the series in Victoria.

Kenya won the toss and opted to bowl first and they were stuck limiting the UAE to just 47 runs, but they kept losing wickets and it affected their scoring. Kenya’s experience especially came into play in the last five rounds as the UAE exhausted their resource of 84 points.

In the chase, Kenya were in the game for the first four overs, but once they lost their top order cheaply, everything went downhill from there, with little contribution from the tail.

The UAE’s slow bowling selection helped them beat Kenya by 60 runs.
