The Directorate General of Punishment and Correctional Institutions of the Dubai Police organized an Eid Outfit event for the children of 22 female prisoners.

This was done in partnership with the Rawafed Development and Education Center and the Big Heart Foundation. The event aims to bring joy and happiness to children during Eid celebrations.

Brigadier General Marwan Abdul Karim Julfar, Director-General of Punishment and Correctional Institutions, said the event supports the community efforts of Dubai Police and promotes their commitment to promote the values ​​of tolerance, love and happiness to children in a time of joy. Eid al-Fitr.

He explained that the campaign involved taking the children to a major shopping mall, letting them choose their own Eid clothes and buying toys for them. He emphasized that they are keen to work with partners on these events and initiatives each Eid, in addition to other community and humanitarian initiatives for prisoners throughout the year.

Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi, director of the women’s prison, said they provided a positive and comfortable atmosphere for the children of female inmates, including proper food, drink, regular medical check-ups and basic reading and writing education.

They are also passionate about involving them in various celebrations and occasions and have launched several initiatives to bring joy and happiness to mothers and young children.
