Hungary promotes its spa at ATMs

Hungary will be promoting its thermal and mineral water resources, thermal lakes and baths at the 30th Arabian Travel Fair (ATM) 2023, held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 1-4 May.

Hungary has one of the largest reserves of thermal water in the world; 80% of the country’s territory has some kind of thermal water underground. The healing power of hot springs has long been known, and in Hungary this precious resource has a long tradition as centers of excellence in health and medical wellness focused on regenerative health, beauty and vitality, attracting thousands of tourists every year.

Tourism statistics for Hungary and the GCC in the Arab tourism market to 2023
According to the Hungarian National Tourism Data Supply Center, about 21,000 guests from the GCC spent about 66,000 nights in Hungary in 2022; an average stay of 3 days per visit.

Judging from the ranking and passenger flow, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are the two main tourist source countries of the Hungarian GCC. Tourists from the GCC spend on average more than other foreign tourists in the country on accommodation. Tourists from Qatar spend the most on accommodation, followed by Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

By 2022, guest nights will be 2.7 times higher in the UAE than in 2021, 2.3 times higher in Saudi Arabia, 2.6 times higher in Qatar and 7 times higher in Oman. – trade arab news agency
