Ineos Automotive to launch new electric 4×4 in 2026

Ineos Automotive has announced that it is working with industry-leading automotive supplier Magna to develop its new electric 4X4 vehicle.

Ineos Automotive’s new 4X4 will represent a unique proposition for customers. Smaller than the Grenadier, the all-new battery-electric model will be emission-free and offer world-class off-road capability without compromising on-road comfort or performance.

Ineos previously worked with Magna on the series engineering and development of the Grenadier station wagon and pickup truck models. It is fully capable of taking over Ineos Automotive’s third model line and has signed a deal to begin production of the new 4X4 at Magna’s plant in Graz, Austria, in 2026.

Part of the development process for the new 4X4 will include a rigorous testing program on Austria’s Schöckl mountain, close to Magna’s vehicle assembly plant.

“Through our collaboration on Grenadier’s engineering design, we have seen first-hand the value of applying Magna’s agility, knowledge and experience to a complete vehicle development program. Deepening our collaboration is a natural next step as we integrate Grenadier’s Serves as a springboard for our third model series in continued growth as a global automotive brand,” added Lynn Calder, Chief Executive Officer, Ineos Automotive.

Magna is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers and independent contract manufacturers. It produces a wide range of different car models for various automakers at its complete vehicle assembly plant in Graz, covering conventional internal combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicles. — trade arab news agency
