Yas Island Aquarium to open on May 23, 2023

The world’s largest aquarium is preparing to open to the public.

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, which launches on May 23, will feature eight distinct realms offering immersive experiences – as well as dynamic habitats that bring together different species as if they were in their natural habitat Same.

Located on Yas Island, the aquarium will house more than 68,000 marine animals, including sharks, schools of fish, manta rays and sea turtles.

It will also be home to the Yas Seaworld Research and Rescue Centre, the UAE’s first dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return centre, providing facilities to support regional and global conservation efforts.

The aquarium was developed in partnership with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and Miral, curator of attractions and visitor experiences based in Abu Dhabi.

On April 21, SeaWorld released a new video sharing more information about the Endless Seas attraction (scroll down to the bottom of this story to find out).

Endless Ocean is one of eight interconnected realms that take guests on a journey from the poles to the tropics.

Combined, the eight areas accommodate more than 100 animal experiences and displays, including up-close animal encounters and adventures.

In total, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will feature more than 35 interactive experiences and rides, live characters and performances, 17 food and beverage outlets, 13 retail outlets, and roaming entertainment in various areas.

Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral, said: “Sea World Abu Dhabi will be the next generation of marine life park – the world’s largest marine aquarium and the UAE’s first research center dedicated to the study and care of animals.

“This is another significant addition to Yas Island’s existing immersive experiences and attractions, and demonstrates that we are delivering on our vision of positioning Yas Island as a premier global destination for residents and visitors alike.”

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will be present at the upcoming Attraction management Magazine. To sign up for your free digital copy, click hereor to subscribe to the print edition, click here.
