Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and its Shariah-compliant digital banking subsidiary, Al Hilal Bank, announce an innovative new partnership with Bank of London and Middle East (BLME) to bring digital UK banking to UAE nationals through Nomo and residents.
Nomo is part of BLME, a subsidiary of Boubyan Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in the Middle East. Nomo was established to provide high-quality, Shariah-compliant digital banking to non-UK residents in the Middle East.
Customers in the UAE can now open UK multi-currency current and savings accounts and apply for UK home financing from their smartphones using the newly launched ADCB-Nomo and Al Hilal-Nomo banking apps.
The statement said that this unique offer offers UAE consumers a fast and easy way to bank in the UK from the UAE, demonstrating the agility and commitment of the ADCB Group to consistently deliver a market-leading customer experience.
ADCB Group CEO and Chairman of Al Hilal Bank Ala’a Eraiqat said ADCB’s partnership with Nomo is part of its strategy to drive digital growth.

The ADCB-Nomo and Al Hilal-Nomo apps will enable customers to spend globally in six currencies (GBP, USD, UAE Dirham, Euro, Kuwaiti Dinar and Saudi Riyal) with free transfers to the UK Bank account transfers and save with UK GBP and USD denominated time deposits.
“Clients will also have access to financing to help them purchase property in the UK as an investment or as a second home,” Eraiqat noted.
