Local police posted on Instagram that a missing boy had been found and returned to his family in Sharjah.

News of the boy’s disappearance had earlier been circulated on social media, police said.

Authorities have assured the public that the young boy has been located and is safe and healthy with his family. “The Sharjah Police confirmed that the child is in good health and has taken the necessary steps to hand him over to his family,” the authorities said.

Earlier last month, a teenager went missing in the emirate after going out for a walk. He called his mother, complained that he was too tired, and asked her to pick him up.

However, when she arrived at his given location, he was nowhere to be found. Police are investigating the matter.
