ABU DHABI, 9th May, 2023 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, was in attendance Second World Utilities Congress. Under the patronage of His Highness, the global networking and knowledge exchange platform, hosted by TAQA and held at ADNEC, aims to identify new solutions and opportunities to support safe, affordable and sustainable utilities.
During the event, His Highness visited exhibitions, met with energy and utilities companies and was briefed on the latest advanced technologies and innovative solutions in power generation, transmission and distribution, nuclear energy, water management and desalination to support decarbonization efforts and net zero goals.
His Highness was accompanied by Suhail Mohamed Al Mazroui, Minister of Energy; Engineering. Awaidha Murshed AlMarar, Chairman of the Ministry of Energy; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Mohamed Hasan AlSuwaidi, Managing Director and CEO of ADQ and Chairman of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA); and CEO and Director of TAQA Group General Manager Jasim Husain Thabet.
The three-day congress will take place on May 10, bringing together energy ministers, more than 10,000 industry professionals, 1,000 conference delegates, 250 experts to prepare for the latest developments in the utilities sector ahead of the UAE hosting COP28 later this year. Important conversations lay the groundwork for speakers and 150 exhibitors.
