Priscilla Presley may have settled her legal dispute with granddaughter Riley Keough, but her pleas in the dispute were immediately denied.
according to cited sources TMZ On Thursday, May 18, 2023, Elvis Presley’s ex-wife requested that he be buried next to the King of Rock and Roll at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The request was denied because it was a non-starter, and Priscilla dropped her request without much discussion.
The problem arises because Elvis’ mother Gladys is buried to his right in the Meditation Garden, while his father, Vernon, is buried to his left, meaning that if Priscilla gets her way, Elvis’ parents One will have to move.
Following the death of Riley’s brother, Benjamin died in 2020 and was buried on Vernon’s left. When Lisa Marie died earlier this year, she was buried next to her late son.
The legal battle comes just two weeks after Lisa Marie’s sudden death in January 2023, with Priscilla filing a petition challenging a 2016 amendment to her late daughter’s will, which was overseen by Riley Keough. Additionally, she claims the will unlawfully expelled her and business manager Barry Siegel as trustees.
However, the months-long battle has finally come to fruition. In the final agreement, Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley, is the official beneficiary of the late musician’s trust. While the details of the agreement were not disclosed in court — and both parties plan to file motions to reach a settlement — TMZ Priscilla reportedly received “millions of dollars.”
The terms of the settlement have not been officially disclosed so far, but attorneys have until June 14 to file the terms, and they plan to file a motion to seal them. The judge is expected to rule on the motion on Aug. 4.
