Karachi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced its support for the Pakistan People’s Party-led (PPP) Sindh provincial government to build houses for flood victims in the province, ARY News reported on Saturday.

The understanding was reached during a meeting between Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah and UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi in Karachi.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the housing project would be completed soon. It was also agreed to further strengthen bilateral and trade relations between Pakistan and the UAE.

In his speech, the envoy informed the Chief Minister of Sindh that investors from his country were keen to invest in Pakistan.

He said all possible assistance was being provided to Pakistan on the order of the UAE government “and this will continue until the victim has fully recovered”.
