World News | Indian tourists visa-free in Kazakhstan, FlyArystan starts flights to Delhi

New Delhi [India]May 22 (ANI): The Kazakh government has waived visa fees for Indian tourists for two weeks and Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier (LCC) FlyArystan has also launched flights from Delhi to Shymkent, Kazakhstan.

Low-cost airline FlyArystan (Air Astana Group) has completed its maiden flight between India and Kazakhstan. Flights on the Delhi-Shyamkent route took place on Monday 22 May.

Airline FlyArystan is desperate for tourists to come on holiday as the Kazakh government has waived the 14-day visa fee for Indian tourists in Kazakhstan.

“Since the abolition of the visa regime for Indian citizens entering Kazakhstan, tourist traffic has increased significantly; therefore, we have decided to cater to the needs of passengers traveling between countries in order to achieve our main goal – to provide affordable, convenient and high-quality quality air transport option,” FlyArystan Senior Director of Operations Pom Komutanont told ANI.

Kazakhstan’s low-cost carrier has also announced fares for one-way flights between the two major metros, starting at $55.

FlyArystan is Kazakhstan’s first low-cost airline that started operations in May 2019. The airline’s fleet consists of 14 Airbus A320 aircraft with an average age of 7 years. It is worth noting that four aircraft were received directly from the manufacturer’s factory. By the end of 2023, FlyArystan plans to expand its fleet to 19 aircraft, including new aircraft.
