New Delhi [India]May 25 (ANI): The world is seeing a new India thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister (EAM) Jaishankar said on Thursday.
“Today, thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the world is seeing a new India,” Jaishankar said after the prime minister arrived in India, wrapping up a three-country visit to Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
“Papua New Guinea’s PM says that for him, PM is ‘Vishwa Guru’. Australian PM calls PM Modi ‘Boss’,” EAM said.
EAM further said that he would like to express his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi. “If today, India’s image, India’s reputation, India’s standing in the world has become so high, it is because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
“I just want to say, it’s a new beginning for me,” Jaishankar said.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Chairman JP Nadda on Thursday morning welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to India after his three-nation visit.
“The world appreciates your governance model. US President Joe Biden’s request for your signature shows how the world sees India under your leadership,” Nada said.
“The way the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea touches your feet shows how much respect you have there. The people of India feel proud when they see our Prime Minister being welcomed like this,” he said.
Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Modi arrived at Delhi Palam Airport. On arrival at the airport, he was garlanded by BJP National Chairman JP Nadda and party members.
Nadda arrived at the airport early on Thursday morning, accompanied by Minister of State (MoS) Foreign Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, former Union Minister Harsh Vardhan, Delhi MP Ramesh Vidhuri, Hans Raj Hans and Delhi Assembly Opposition Leader Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
A large number of BJP staff and supporters also gathered outside Param Airport to greet Prime Minister Modi. Speaking to ANI, a BJP staff said: “People are here to welcome Prime Minister Modi because he has made us and the whole country proud.” (Ani)
