[ad_1]

The UAE authorities have cancelled the mandatory requirement to wear masks in some public places. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) announced on Wednesday, September 22 that people must maintain a two-meter social distance.

Residents do not need to wear masks when exercising in public places. Masks are not mandatory when members of the same family travel in a private car. Swimming pool and beach lovers do not need to wear it either.

Other places where the mask rule does not apply include places closed when individuals are alone; salons, beauty centers, and medical centers.

A sign will appear where there is no need to wear a mask.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention emphasized that masks are still mandatory in all other public places. NCEMA said: “Masks are still one of the most effective tools to fight the virus.”

The decision was made after the number of daily Covid-19 cases fell by 60% in August this year compared to the same period last year. On Tuesday, the country only recorded 322 new cases.

The UAE is also the most vaccinated country in the world. More than 92% of its residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and more than 81% of its residents have been vaccinated.
