The Heartfulness Institute is a global organization with operations in more than 130 countries and thousands of volunteer trainers. Their mission is to promote universal peace and harmony through the practice of yoga and meditation known as mindfulness. Heartfulness, recognized by the United Nations for its global reach, is an initiative of the Sahaj Marg Spirituality Foundation licensed by the Dubai Ministry of Economy since 2004. JLT’s Heartfulness Center was inaugurated in January 2011 by then-Global Guide Rev Chariji and has been endorsed by the Dubai Government to promote wellness through activities such as yoga, relaxation and mindfulness meditation.

“Full Heart is about inner joy, happiness and a feeling of lightness. Full Heart Meditation is all about bringing the mind and heart together through meditation on the heart. When we listen to our inner voice and are guided by it, we are able to take control of our lives, said BR Subramanian, who has practiced Manshin for more than 30 years and is the organization’s national coordinator.

So, how to observe the mind? “We gently close our eyes and turn our thoughts to the heart, giving a very subtle hint that the light source exists in our hearts and drawing our attention inside,” he adds. “When your mind is focused, it is regulated. When your mind is regulated, you become clear, and when you become clear, you are able to function in a better way on the physical plane.” Execute things,” said Subramanian, a private banker by profession. “We also have a Heartfulness app called Heartsapp, which is available on iPhone and Android. It guides people through daily practices and also connects people with Heartfulness trainers for meditation.”

The Heartfulness Meditation Center occupies approximately 3,500 square feet in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lakes Towers and draws people from a variety of nationalities, backgrounds and beliefs each week for group meditations, training sessions and other events that promote values of unity. “We consider service to be one of Heartfulness’s most important practices. Opening this center for UAE residents is part of service. Through these initiatives, we aim to spread the message of meditation as widely as possible,” said Mena ) Regional Director Sanjay Meherish. “The satisfaction and joy I get from the experience of serving people and seeing them mediate at this center has been priceless to me,” he added.

“Every Saturday and Sunday morning at 8am, hundreds of people join us in this center for meditation. Before that, we also have yoga classes, led by professional yoga instructors. Come experience it. As they say, ‘the pudding is tasted in eating’,” says Meherish. “The service is provided for free, the only requirement is a willingness to try it out.”

Brinda Mani, who has been practicing Heartfulness at the center for the past 25 years, said she started this journey because she was looking for a place where she could find peace. “At the time, there was a lot of shaking in the house. So, we wanted a place where we could find peace, not outside, but inside,” says Brenda. “Another benefit I’ve experienced is that my self-confidence and self-esteem have also improved tremendously and it’s easier to accept all situations in life with the conviction that it’s for me to be at my highest level materially and spiritually. benefit,” she added.

Savita Vaidya is also a meditation practitioner and trainer at the Heartfulness Institute, where meditation has become a way of life for many years. “If I could give you a small example, one day when my son was visiting from college, he came over and gave me a big hug. I asked what it was for, and he said, ‘You’re not going to be like I was when I was a kid. Angry like that’. It was an eye-opener for me because meditation has caused some noticeable changes in my personality,” says Savita.

Additionally, if people are looking for a healthier and more immersive mindfulness meditation experience, they can quickly head to Kanha Shanti Vanam, a mindfulness retreat center located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Kanha Shanti Vanam, winner of the “Pride of Telangana” award in 2019, is the global headquarters of the Heartfulness Institute. A peaceful and eco-friendly haven, the monastery offers a spiritual retreat where visitors embrace a simple way of living in harmony with their inner self and the natural world.
