Abu Dhabi Police on Wednesday warned the public to beware of fraudulent calls and links to fraudulent websites resembling government entities.
Abu Dhabi Police has warned that scam calls and links to scam websites are phishing the public via SMS and offering bogus services and lures of interest related to government agencies through their websites or emails.
ADP also warned that after obtaining information related to bank accounts and reusing that data, scammers and fraudsters are employing new methods to lure victims in order to withdraw funds from their bank accounts.
Abu Dhabi Police advise members of the public not to share their confidential information, including bank account or card details, online banking passwords, ATM PINs, Card Verification Value (CVV) numbers or passwords, with anyone, stating that bank employees and banks will never Inquire for such information.
