The Ministry of Finance held a symposium on public finance policy and the labor market

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) organized an interactive seminar on financial policy and the labor market in Dubai on the theme “Promoting Economic Growth”. Representatives of local finance authorities attended the symposium, which aimed to foster a constructive dialogue between policymakers and economists and further explore how financial policy affects the labor market.

Deputy Finance Minister Younis Haji Al Khoori reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to an inclusive and collaborative environment, encouraging policymakers, economists, business executives, researchers and all other stakeholders to contribute to shaping the future of financial policy and labor. contribute to the market. This is done by bringing together diverse perspectives to find solutions that promote sustainable economic growth and enhanced labor market outcomes. Furthermore, this workshop was held within the Ministry’s efforts to encourage equitable economic opportunity and promote sustainable growth. Al Khoori also said that the Ministry is continuously working towards sound financial policies to facilitate productive labor markets towards greater empowerment and building a better future for all.

Al Khoori said: “The Ministry of Finance is keen to continue to strengthen communication and coordination with all local finance authorities and provide the support needed to develop a more complete understanding of the relationship between public fiscal policy and labor market outcomes. We are also keen to provide them with tools and skills to analyze and design effective contributions to the formulation of public financial policies. All of these contribute to improving labor market performance, achieving labor market strategic goals, and enhancing the UAE’s competitiveness in the financial and economic spheres.”

The workshop program includes presentations on the practice, interactive discussions, networking opportunities, case study analysis and practical exercises. It highlights key themes, including the role of financial policy in shaping labor market dynamics and the goal of achieving financial sustainability while promoting employment. In addition, it addresses income distribution through financial policy, market reforms and their impact on economic growth, and the use of technology and digitalization to improve labor market outcomes.

The symposium engaged attendees in in-depth discussions, exchanged views and gained different insights from experts. It also encourages active participation through interactive sessions where participants ask questions, exchange experiences, and explore the latest approaches to pressing challenges drawn from global experience.
