The 55-year-old sales manager, who has lived in the UAE for 20 years, was inspired to take part after seeing the previous winners

The 55-year-old sales manager has lived in the UAE for two decades. She was sitting on the sofa in her office when she got the news.

“I didn’t get to see the live show. I got a call, but didn’t believe it. I thought it was an all-night prank call,” Mireille said.

She has yet to decide what to do with her winnings. “My brother and I have decided to donate some of it to charity because when you’re grateful, you want to share your good fortune with others.
