What a wicked little weekend this could be…
More than once, when I was young, if something I wanted so badly (a new bike, a newspaper, or passing an exam) slipped through my fingers, my dear grandmother would say to me, “You want things that don’t pass you by.” But more of a Scottish accent. Essentially: there is a plan that works for you, so if you don’t get it – it’s not meant to be. While I admit that these are indeed sensible words, they should be attached in an appendix. You can’t be passive about your dreams, you have to stand up and chase them, because if it’s not meant to be – you might fall, but there’s always a chance you can fly.

As temperatures in the UAE now tickle 50 degree mark, we have very welcome news. They finally opened the door, and for the first time ever— Snow Abu Dhabi Now open at Reem Mall. It probably doesn’t have the slopes of Ski Dubai – so no skiing or snowboarding, because the point here is that true “resistance piste” is a more inclusive form of recreation. Regulated to a super-cold 2ºC, the 9,732-square-meter space offers more than 20 rides and attractions, as well as three food and beverage outlets (including a café stand where you can get a piping hot chocolate cream).
