Abu Dhabi [UAE]June 8 (ANI/WAM): President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has enacted a law establishing the National Institute for Child Development, headquartered in In Abu Dhabi, as part of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority.

The Academy aims to provide education, training and lifelong learning programs related to children’s affairs, child development and childcare, while upholding the values ​​and national identity of the UAE. The Academy also seeks to provide learners with an appropriate academic and training environment to contribute to the development of their knowledge and skills in various areas of child development, in coordination with competent authorities and in compliance with applicable laws.

By law, the Academy’s mandate includes establishing a system of academic and training excellence through the development of education and training programs related to children’s affairs, child development and care, in line with the Abu Dhabi Social Sector’s Strategic Plan. The academy’s courses will be delivered according to best practice to facilitate skills development as well as academic and vocational training. The College will award qualifications and degrees and provide advice, information and other related services in accordance with applicable law.

The Faculty will also conduct academic and applied research relevant to its scope of work, and organize and participate in conferences, seminars and workshops, as stipulated by law. The Academy will coordinate with the competent authorities to establish and develop partnerships, enter into agreements and memorandums of understanding, and undertake collaboration and knowledge-sharing activities with relevant entities. Work with the competent authorities to formulate a recruitment and employment system to promote the employment of students.
