Abu Dhabi-based Aldar Properties has announced the launch of its second building at The Source, a residential community redefining healthy living in the heart of Saadiyat Island.

The Source II follows the sell-out of the first building at “The Source,” a community purpose-built with the holistic health and well-being of its residents at its core. The developer said the initial sale generated a lot of interest from overseas buyers, with all 204 apartments sold within days of launch.

The latest development comprises 148 contemporary residential units designed to complement Saadiyat Island’s cultural and natural surroundings.

Residents will also have the opportunity to explore some of the UAE’s most exciting cultural landmarks, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Abraham Family House and the Natural History Museum, it said.

It also offers residents a haven of well-being, with a range of facilities and services focused on enhancing physical and mental well-being and strengthening social connections.

“Aldar continues to invest in creating wellness-focused communities, and for the second building, our aim is to provide our clients with spaces that inspire holistic wellness and make wellness an integral part of everyday life,” Al Omaira noted.

Aldar said the building was designed to be more energy efficient, with the goal of reducing energy use by at least 18 per cent compared to Ashrae 2010, an international benchmark establishing minimum requirements for energy efficiency in buildings.

Construction on the second building is due to begin in the fourth quarter, with handover likely in the fourth quarter of 2026. –trade arab news agency
