Shah Rukh was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s Patan, opposite Deepika Padukone. The film, starring John Abraham, went on to become Bollywood’s biggest hit. He’s next at Atlee’s java and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, both scheduled for release this year.

Shah Rukh Khan on smartphone addiction

About four years ago, Shah Rukh told Mirchi Radio while chatting in Hindi, “These days I notice that people sometimes, when I go to parties and dinners, sometimes when I’m sitting with friends, suddenly come into the room – 7-8 people sitting in a circle, seeing each other. They come to eat, chat, and suddenly everyone is staring at their phones and no one is talking.”

Shah Rukh gets to the root of the problem

He further added: “I think we’re taking this too far. All we want now is to be entertained all the time. We think we can only be entertained on our phones. But trust me. I have years of experience, 53 to be exact years (he’s 57 now). The real entertainment is talking to each other. Whatever you talk about, whether it’s about love or arguments, you can learn a lot of new things just by talking. It’s good to be on the phone, but there’s a time for everything. When you meet people, talk to them, love them, hug them. I think it’s better.”

Fans react to Shah Rukh Khan video

The video recently surfaced on one of Shah Rukh’s fan pages and got his followers to agree with him in the comments section. Actor and presenter Zoran Saher commented on the video, “It’s kind of cute to hear him say that! The reason is, because a lot of what he just said is the reality of this day and age. People choose Stay away from the sources they want to entertain. Actually having a real conversation face to face says a lot about one’s insight and understanding of life! Sadly, this subtle realism is fading.”

Another fan said: “It’s ironic that we’re all watching on our phones, entertainment! Hypocrisy.” Another wrote, “That’s real in the moment.” ’ A die-hard fan of the actor joked, ‘Kya karen (what can we do)? You won’t find it anywhere but on the phone. As far as my Khansaab is concerned, it is only because of you. “
