DENVER, June 13 (AP) — Ten people were injured in a mass shooting early Tuesday in an area of Denver where basketball fans were celebrating the Nuggets’ first NBA title, police said, with one suspect people have been detained.
The Denver Police Department said in a statement that three of the injured were in critical condition after the shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m., about 3.5 hours after the game.

“The cause of the altercation that led to the shooting is still under investigation,” police spokesman Doug Schepman said at night. “
The area was cordoned off and evidence markers were at the scene.
There was a small crowd in the area at the time of the shooting, but “it had diminished a lot by then,” he said. He said the shooting happened in an area where many people may have emerged from the bar after the game.
Police are questioning witnesses and Shepman described the ongoing investigation as “extensive”. (Associated Press)
