SCG International, a subsidiary of Thailand’s leading conglomerate with over 100 years of construction industry expertise, has announced its strategic expansion into the South Asia, Middle East and Africa region with the opening of a new office in Dubai.
In unveiling its regional strategy, SCG said the Dubai facility will be the central hub for sourcing and transporting goods in the region. To further increase its presence in the Middle East and Africa, it plans to establish a similar facility in Saudi Arabia.
It added that the move was aimed at capitalizing on the huge construction projects envisioned in Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s ambitious 2030 plan by diversifying investments across sectors.
“As part of our journey, our focus on the South Asia, Middle East and Africa region presents a new opportunity to build on our solid strength and presence in the ASEAN market,” said Abhijit Datta, Managing Director. SCG International.
“We recognize the potential to develop an international supply chain network and have a strategic plan to open an office in Riyadh to cater to a growing number of government and private sector projects,” he said.
“We have been actively looking for a strong partner with broad market access in the region. Our partnership with Hassan Allam represents a major milestone in our expansion into Egypt, the Middle East and Africa,” Datta noted.
