Statistics released by the Ministry of the Interior show that there were 607 accidents in the UAE last year

According to statistics from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), there will be as many as 607 accidents on UAE roads in 2022. According to the Department of Home Affairs, sudden departure is the number one cause of these accidents, with distracted driving a second.

Statistics show that the emirate of Abu Dhabi has 72 accidents due to sudden deviations in 2022, while Dubai has 420 accidents due to the same reason.

There were 21 accidents in Sharjah, 12 in Ajman, seven in Umm Al Quwain, 39 in Ras Al Khaimah and 36 in Fujairah, the interior ministry added.

The emirate of Abu Dhabi recorded 401 road accidents due to distraction during 2022, while Sharjah recorded 67 accidents, Ajman nine, Umm Al Quwain six, RAK 48, and Fujairah There were 5 accidents.

According to statistics, in 2022, the total number of accidents due to insufficient distance will reach 505.

Abu Dhabi had 64 accidents due to insufficient distance, Dubai 369, Sharjah 24, Ajman 12, Umm Al Quwain 2, RAK 26 and Fujairah 8.

Regarding accidents due to lane failure, there will be 241 accidents in 2022, 139 in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, 67 in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, 2 in Ajman, Umm There was one accident in Gawain, 20 accidents in RAK and two accidents in Fujairah, the interior ministry said.
