Abu Dhabi Judiciary Qualifies First Abu Dhabi Sports Council Staff as Judicial Officers

ADJD, represented by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, completed the Professional Course for the Qualification of Administrative and Judicial Officers for the first batch of 10 trainees of Abu Dhabi Sports Council staff as part of an effort aimed at developing national capacity and skills part of the cadres in the legal and sports fields and provide them with the necessary knowledge to carry out supervisory and inspection tasks in accordance with the highest recognized international standards.

His Excellency Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice of Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of accrediting executive and judicial officials in accordance with the best international practice in the field of academic and practical training, as directed by His Highness Sheikh Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the State Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister in the Presidency and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Justice, supported efforts to improve the performance of institutions across sectors to enhance the competitiveness of Abu Dhabi.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of the Administrative Support Department of the Ministry of Justice and General Superintendent of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in Abu Dhabi, said at the celebration of awarding the certificates to the trainees that the professionalism in the field of sports law The preparation of cadres to serve as judicial officers will facilitate the development of work in this professional field by activating the oversight of a pioneering system that ensures achievement matches the global leadership direction of the Abu Dhabi Government.

Mr. Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of Sports Development at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, pointed out that upholding public policy is a common goal of all government and private institutions, and judicial officials plan to support the achievement of this goal by formulating Legal rules and regulations undertaken by persons in public service and capable of enforcing law.

The course involves 110 training sessions and the topics are divided into two parts, the first part includes general topics related to the definition of judicial and administrative police, as well as inspection procedures and nullity cases in criminal law, in addition to explaining the laws and regulations on the topic and their practical application, and training skills for dealing with violators.

The second part of the course focuses on topics related to sports arbitration and other sports legislation, as well as the duties of law enforcement officers in sporting offenses and crimes, and the practical application of making records based on these offenses, and other related procedures. Basic tasks of judicial officers.

Trainees are assigned to prepare a report on the development of the sports sector in educational institutions, based on the current national sports legislation and international comparisons.
