Dubai: If your travel plans fall through, or you want to spend time with friends and family in the UAE, there are plenty of things you can do during the long Eid break.
Whether relaxing at the beach or hitting the exciting hiking trails, here are seven things you can do on Eid al-Adha.
1. Watch the Dubai Eid al-Adha fireworks celebration
Eid al-Adha in the UAE will officially begin on June 27 with Two fireworks displays at Dubai Festival City and Dubai Parks and Resorts Come welcome the holidays.
Dubai Festival City will present an immersive fireworks and light show on the second night of Eid (29 June).
You can also enjoy five days of free fireworks at Dubai Parks and Resorts from 27 June to 1 July.

2. Book a full day in a private cabana at Al Mamzar Beach Park
If you want to relax with friends and family in the privacy of your own space, enjoy the beachfront views and barbecue, you can book a cabin at Al Mamzar Beach Park for only AED 150 for a whole day.
There are 15 cabins in total, equipped with air-conditioning, sofa, folding chair, TV, kitchenette and toilet and other facilities. All cottages have their own outdoor private BBQ area.

Place:
The cabins are located in the park, near Flamingo Beach. The area is accessible by car and there are also separate public parking spaces. Visitors can park for free.
Timing:
You can rent a cabin for a full day according to the following schedule:
• Sunday to Wednesday: 9 am to 9 pm.
• Thursday, Friday, Saturday and public holidays: 9am to 10pm.
According to Dubai Municipality, the cost of a wooden house depends on the size of the house:
• Chalet for up to 6 persons: AED 150 plus 5% Value Added Tax (VAT)
• Large Cabin for 8 to 12 persons: AED 200 plus 5% VAT.
Additional knowledge and innovation fee: Dh20
Al Mamzar Beach Park Entrance Fee
To access the cabin area, you must first pay to enter the park. The following are the entry fees for Al Mamzar Park as per Dubai Municipality:
• AED 30 per car – must be paid with nol card.
• AED 5 per person – can be paid by cash or nol card.
• Free for those of determination and children under two.
3. Explore Dubai’s top landmarks by ferry from 5 dirhams
One of the best ways to explore Dubai’s top attractions is on a Dubai Ferry, with tickets starting from AED 5.
Dubai Ferries are operated by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and have 6 main routes that take you from one end of the city to the other.
From the ferry, you can enjoy views of Dubai’s iconic coastline, including popular tourist destinations such as Dubai Creek, Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm.
The ferry is air-conditioned and can accommodate up to 98 people.
How to Buy Dubai Ferry Tickets?
You can buy tickets at the Maritime Station or book online at the RTA website – rta. ae
If you do buy tickets from the station, it is important to note that not all sea transport stations accept nol, credit and debit cards, so you may need to pay in cash.
Dubai Ferry Routes, Times and Costs
Dubai Ferries operates 5 routes, some of which are dedicated to sightseeing. The cost and duration of each trip varies depending on the route you choose.
1. Route CR10 – Al Ghubaiba – Souk Al Marfa in Deira, Dubai Islands.
2. FR1 route – Dubai Water Canal to Al Ghubaiba or Dubai Marina
3. Route FR1 – Al Ghubaiba – Dubai Canal – Bluewaters – Dubai Marina Mall
4. FR3 route – Al Ghubaiba round trip around Dubai Creek
5. FR4 route – Dubai Marina Mall – Palm Jumeirah – Atlantis, Palm Island

4. Play your favorite sport at one of the largest indoor stadiums in Dubai
Want to try a new sport like pickleball or take a Zumba class? You can experience it all at Dubai Sports World (DSW), the summer sports hub at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC).
DSW will run until September 10, 2023 in an air-conditioned venue of over 300,000 sq. ft. located in Za’abeel Hall 2-6 at DWTC.
DSW does not charge entry fees, but you must pay for the sports facilities you use and the activities you attend. There are also free family-friendly events, but they still require you to register on the Dubai Sports World app.
DSW offers free family-friendly activities like miniature golf, Jumbo Jenga and soccer.
There are nine sports you can book at DSW:

There is no entry fee to Dubai Sports World (DSW), but you must pay for the sports facilities you use and the activities you attend.

5. Enjoy Dubai’s most popular beach at night
Looking to relax at the beach during Eid holidays but can’t handle the summer heat? You can still enjoy Dubai’s beaches at night.
On May 14, Dubai Municipality introduced night swimming at three beaches in Dubai. Each public beach has an 800-meter-high lighthouse for residents and tourists to swim around the clock, and content is displayed on electronic screens, aiming to raise the safety awareness of beach visitors.
If you want to swim at night, Dubai Municipality advises beachgoers to do night swimming only at the following three beaches:
1. Jumeirah 2 Beach
2. Jumeirah 3 Beach
3. Umm Suquim 1 Beach
6. Venture out on Mushrif Park’s new hiking trails
A free walking route in Dubai has just opened, in Mushrif National Park.According to Dubai Municipality, the 10-kilometre (9.7km) hiking trail can be used for free all year round
If you’re looking for some adventure this Eid, or just want to get your feet wet, this trail is suitable for beginners as well as professionals.
An 8.3km yellow recreational track will be used by beginner level visitors, while a 1.4km orange sports track will be suitable for skilled athletes with higher levels of fitness and endurance.

7. Explore Hatta by bike or electric scooter
Are you going to Hatta? You can now explore popular destinations on an electric scooter or bicycle.Visitors can rent bicycles, mountain bikes or electric scooters at one of the The new “mobile station” in the following regions:
• Hada Folk Culture Village
• Adjacent to Wadi Hatta Park
• Hatta Hill Park
• bus stop
• Hatta Valley
The station is located along the 9 km cycle route.
The company that provides and operates the bikes and e-scooters is Lime, which costs Dh3 to unlock a bike and will charge 50 to 60 fils per minute.
