The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization issued an announcement on Thursday to remind private companies deadline for achieving the goal first half of this year.

Mohre said businesses still have 15 days to achieve the semi-annual 1% emiratization target.

Those Emiratis who fail to meet this standard by July 7 will face a fine worth Dh42,000 per Emiratis not employed.

in the country Emiratisation programme, Companies must add 2% UAE nationals per year until 2026. Earlier this year, a new mechanism was announced in which the annual target is divided into two: a 1% increase in the first half and a 1% increase in the second half. The other 1% is in the second.

Most companies are expected to add 2 percent of their UAE workforce by the end of 2022 and have been given until June 30 to add another 1 percent. The deadline to have a 3% UAE workforce has now been pushed back to 7 July.

After July 8, the company needs to add another 1% by the end of 2023, meaning that by December 31 of this year, 4% of its skilled workforce must be Emirati.
