Yasmine Mahmoud Abdullah, the UAE’s highest-scoring high school student, will receive many calls for her achievements. But none was more special than the one she received from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Emirati leader tweeted an audio clip of his phone conversation with the Emirati leader on Sunday.
The conversation started like this: “Is that Yasmin Abdullah? This is Mohammed bin Rashid.”
He then congratulates her on her achievement. When asked which university she would go to for higher education, the student said she would choose from three universities.
Sheikh Mohamed ended the call by asking the students to send their regards to her family.
“I spoke to Yasmin Mahmoud Abdullah and congratulated her on her first place,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted. “We congratulate all the graduates, as well as their fathers and mothers.”
The UAE Vice President thanked teachers and staff in the education sector for a successful school year.
Sheikh Mohammed personally calls the top players in high school every year.
