On June 16, the Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Florida, USA was hit by heavy rain, and a video of furniture flying over the deck went viral on social media.
Video showed passengers fleeing for their lives as dangerous high-speed winds battered the ship. Tables and chairs fluttered in the wind, and tourists in swimsuits clung to the walls.

Royal Caribbean said in a statement that no passengers were seriously injured by the lightning storm. The company told Distractify: “On Friday, June 16, the Independence of the Seas experienced a sudden gust of wind as it departed Port Canaveral. The most recent condition was short-lived and there were no serious injuries to our guests or crew.”
It added that the ship continued on its scheduled three-night itinerary and arrived in the Bahamas on Saturday.
