I really hope I like this movie as much as everyone else seems to like it. I’m happy for those who were drawn to the tongue-in-cheek tone of this action-adventure movie, and I wish there were more movies that strive to entertain the old-fashioned way like “A Thief of Glory.” try. A sequel is rumored to still be under consideration, so if you’re a fan, you should buy the pretty solid Blu-ray, which features deleted scenes, hilarious moments, and a special feature about the making of the film. The film also plays better at home than in Austin, where its simple charms are easier to appreciate on the couch than the stress of a world premiere. I still think it should and could have been better for all the talent involved, but I’d love to see them get a chance to deliver on that promise in part two. Let’s make this happen.
