She was hospitalized with “multiple skull fractures,” according to surgeons treating the wounded.
According to International PEN, her novel Dom’s Dream Kingdom was published in 2017 and was shortlisted for the UNESCO City of Literature Award and the European Union Prize for Literature.
Her poems, essays and essays have been translated into English, German, Polish and many other languages.
PEN International said that since 2022 she has been working to document war crimes since the Russian invasion and advocate for accountability.
Ria Pizza in Kramatorsk, one of the largest cities in the east still under Ukrainian control, is popular with soldiers, journalists and aid workers.
Amelina’s death brought the strike death toll to 13.
